NetID+ (Plus): Generate and Use Text Message Passcodes

Instructional Video

Step-by-Step Instructions

  • NOTE: Prior to using a cell phone to receive passcodes for NetID+ you must register the device to be used. For assistance with that process, please refer to the steps on the Enroll Cell Phone (with Texting) page.

  • NOTEThe steps below begin after you're presented with a WebAuth screen, log in with your NetID and password, and are directed to the NetID+ authentication page.

Important: Passcodes can be sent via text using two different methods. Instructions for both, text message and the NetID+ website, are outlined below.

Text Message Passcodes

  1. Click the Text me new codes button at the bottom of the NetID+ Log In screen.

  2. You should receive a text message with 10 single-use passcodes.

  3. If you want your login for that application or on that browser remembered for the next month, check the box to Remember me for 30 days.
    • You should not check the box if you're using a shared computer as this could potentially allow someone else to log into an application as you.
  4. Enter the Passcode then click Log In.

NetID+ Website Passcode

  1. Go to https://netid-plus.arizona.edu and, if prompted, click Login.
  2. Click Manage your Account.
  3. Under the My Devices section and on the tile for your cell phone, click the Send Passcodes button.
  4. You should receive a text message with 10 single-use Passcodes.
  5. If you want your login for that application or on that browser remembered for the next month, check the box to Remember me for 30 days.
    • You should not check the box if you're using a shared computer as this could potentially allow someone else to log into an application as you.
  6. Enter the passcode then click Log In.
  7. You should now be logged into the software/application you need to access.
